General FAQs

How do I book a session with you?

You can book a session by reaching out via the contact form on my website or sending me an email. We’ll discuss your needs, and once details are finalized, I’ll send a contract and retainer to confirm your booking.

My style is fine art and elegant with a focus on capturing genuine emotions and moments. I love using natural light to create whimsical, yet timeless images that tell your unique story.

Yes, I provide high-resolution digital images with all packages. You also have the option to order professional prints, albums, and canvases through me to ensure the highest quality.

For weddings, it’s best to book 9–12 months in advance, as my calendar fills up quickly. Family sessions should be booked at least 1–2 months ahead, especially during busy seasons like fall. I can not guarantee availability on short notice.

My pricing varies depending on the type of session and package you choose. You can find more details by downloading my pricing guide.

Yes, I love traveling for weddings and family sessions! For locations outside of Lancaster, PA, there may be additional travel fees depending on distance. I’m happy to discuss this during the booking process.

For weddings, you can expect to receive a preview within 3 days and your final edited gallery within 3–5 weeks. For family sessions, it typically takes about 2–3 weeks. I’ll always keep you updated throughout the process.

If it’s a family or engagement session, we can reschedule for another day if the weather isn’t cooperative at the discretion of the photographer. For weddings, I’ll come prepared with creative solutions to ensure we still capture stunning photos, rain or shine.

Yes, I offer flexible payment plans. Typically, a deposit is required to secure your date, and the remaining balance can be divided into smaller payments leading up to the session or event.

When Reshoots May Be Allowed:

  1. Technical Issues: If there was a technical problem (e.g., corrupted files or equipment failure), we will schedule a reshoot at no additional charge.

  2. Uncontrollable Circumstances: If bad weather or unforeseen events negatively impact the session (especially for outdoor shoots), reshoots will be offered, either free or at a reduced rate, at the discretion of the photographer.

  3. Client Dissatisfaction: If a client is unhappy with the final images we may reschedule a reshoot, but often this comes with an additional fee. It’s important to remember that dissatisfaction due to subjective preferences (e.g., poses or styling) may not warrant a free reshoot unless it was agreed upon beforehand.

When Reshoots May Come with a Fee:

  1. Client Changes: If a client wants to redo the session due to personal reasons (e.g., changing their mind about outfits, location, or hairstyle), photographers often charge a fee for reshoots since the original session was completed as planned.

  2. No-Show or Late Arrivals: If a client is late or fails to show up for the session without proper notice, photographers will likely charge a reshoot fee since time and resources were already allocated.

  3. Additional Requests: If a client asks for a reshoot to capture more photos or different settings not initially discussed, a fee is typically charged to cover the photographer’s time and effort.

Wedding FAQs

How many hours of coverage do you recommend for a wedding day?

Most couples book between 8–10 hours of coverage to capture everything from getting ready to the reception. However, I offer different packages based on your specific timeline, needs, and budget.

Yes, I highly recommend adding a second shooter for full-day weddings. This allows us to capture multiple angles, more candid moments, and details, ensuring no part of your day is missed. Some couples if it is not in their budget for a second shooter for the whole day will budget for a second shooter during the getting ready hours and ceremony only. Let’s talk about your options!

Absolutely! I understand that every wedding is unique, so I’m happy to work with you to create a package that fits your vision.

Yes, I do a mix of both. I love capturing candid, in-the-moment photos that reflect the real emotions of your day, but I also ensure we get beautiful, posed shots of you, your bridal party, and family. If you have any must have shots, we will discuss those during the booking process.

On average, you’ll receive between 600 and 800 edited images from a full wedding day, but this can vary based on the number of hours of coverage and the size of your wedding.

During the ceremony, I try to be as unobtrusive as possible, letting the moments unfold naturally. I tend to move around a lot to ensure many angles and the emotions and reactions to what is happening is captured.

At the reception, I focus on candid interactions, special dances, and the overall energy of your celebration.

We’ll plan ahead by making a list of important family groupings. I’ll coordinate these photos efficiently, making sure we get every combination while keeping it fun and organized.

If your date changes and I’m available, I’ll simply transfer your booking to the new date. If I’m not available or you need to cancel altogether, we can discuss options around the terms outlined in your contract, which includes the non-refundable retainer.

Yes! Some of my wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. It’s a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

I take the time to understand your relationship, personalities, and vision for the day. From venue selection to special moments, I tailor my approach to ensure your photos reflect who you are as a couple.

Upon booking I will send you my questionnaire and schedule an in-person or virtual coffee date to start to get to know each of my brides and grooms.

Family FAQs

Where do you typically hold family sessions?

I shoot family sessions either outdoors at beautiful local spots or at your home for a more intimate, lifestyle approach. I can send you my preferred location list and we can decide on an option that fits your family’s style.

Neutral tones or soft colors always look great in photos. I recommend coordinating outfits without being too matchy-matchy. It is generally preferred to avoid patterns but always, wear what you are comfortable with.

Upon request I can send you my what to wear guide or even send you vision boards with links to family outfits based on the location and season.

I create a relaxed, fun environment that lets kids be themselves. I bring patience, and I’m not afraid to get silly to make them laugh! We take breaks if needed and go with the flow.

Family sessions usually last about 60–90 minutes, depending on the size of the group and location. This gives us enough time to get a variety of shots without feeling rushed.

Yes, pets are always welcome as long as the venue allows! Just let me know in advance, and we’ll make sure we have some fun moments with your furry family member.

Yes, I offer extended family sessions to capture the whole family tree! It’s a wonderful way to celebrate family milestones or reunions. For families beyond 8 people there may be an additional fee charged per person.

The best light for outdoor sessions is usually during “golden hour,” which is the hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset. This soft, warm light creates beautiful, flattering photos.

I guide you with light posing and prompts to help you feel natural. My goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy each other’s company and forget about the camera.

Definitely! If you have any meaningful items or fun props that you’d like to include, we can absolutely incorporate them into your session.

Don’t worry! I understand that kids can be unpredictable. We take breaks as needed, and I capture candid moments in between to ensure we still get beautiful, authentic shots. If what we capture doesn’t make you happy, we can discuss scheduling a reshoot. See my reshoot policy.
